  Top of the Hill Child Care & Preschool is a licensed home based facility located in Whitefield, NH. We provide professional preschool and child care services to the Whitefield community and surrounding areas.
Your child will be exposed to an exciting theme-based program that includes a variety of music, science, reading, arts and crafts, indoor/outdoor and free play activities, all designed to stimulate their physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth in a loving and comfortable environment.

My goal is to provide a high quality, nurturing and safe environment for your child that will help them grow into a wonderful, curious, and happy person. I maintain a semi-structured daily program with regards to scheduled meals, rest periods, and activities because I believe children thrive when their lives are predictable.

As a partner in your child’s care, I will do everything I can to keep the lines of communication open. My interaction with you is as important as my interaction with your child.


 

About the Providers & Teachers

April Ronish – Owner/Director & Lead Teacher

I am the proud owner of Top of the Hill Child Care & Preschool.  I am married to a wonderful man and we have two beautiful girls ages 9 & 6 years old.  I have 23 years’ experience working with children and enjoy my profession as a child care provider and teacher.  I am enrolled at Kaplan University specializing in the Advanced Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development ages infant to grade 3.  I also attend classes and workshops pertaining to the development of children on an ongoing basis.  My trainings and workshops include the following:

 

  • CPR & First Aid Certified (yearly)
  • Water Safety and Supervision Training
  • Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse
  • Empowering Programs: Intentional Language & Cooperative Games

I also received a Certificate of Appreciation from the North Country Health Consortium for my efforts and dedication to bettering the lives of youth in the North Country.

Sharon Cormier – Part time Child Care Assistant
Sharon is a retired teacher of 35 years.  She taught grades  three through six and enjoys working with children.  She is married to a wonderful man, has two daughters, and five granddaughters.  Sharon enjoys walking, spending time with friends, and most of all going to Boston Red Sox games.
